Local government unions, UNISON, GMB and UNITE, representing 1.6 million workers in England Wales and Northern Ireland today (22 April) formally rejected the 0.5% pay offer made by the local government employers. Unless it is formally accepted by June 1, 2009, the employers have threatened to withdraw the offer.
Unions* representing 1.3m local government workers, today (6 April) expressed their bitter disappointment at the 0.5% pay offer by Local Government Employers.
Local government unions(*) representing more than one million council staff in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will today (14 January) submit their annual pay claim for an increase of at least the level of retail price inflation, with additional salary increases for the lowest paid.
Trade unions* representing 1.3 million local government workers have today (1 October) written to ACAS urging them to begin arbitration as soon as possible, to resolve the long-standing dispute over pay.
